Kapital Bank’s COP29 Agenda: Continuing to create new perspectives for a green future
The United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP29, one of the most important global events bringing together world leaders, scientists, and experts to combat climate change, is successfully underway. As the first bank in the country, Kapital Bank is participating in the conference as part of the PASHA Holding delegation. A dedicated booth for Kapital Bank has been set up in the Green Zone of the event. Yesterday, a panel discussion titled “Sustainable SME Landscape in Azerbaijan” was held under Kapital Bank’s organization. Moderated by Nuran Karimov, Head of Tax and Legal Practice at Deloitte Azerbaijan, the panel included notable participants such as Farid Hidayatzade, Board Member and Chief Corporate Sales Officer at Kapital Bank; Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency; Farid Guliyev, Corporate and Institutional Banking Leader at PASHA Bank; and Emin Ilyas, Director of Bioropean LLC. The discussion revolved around new ideas, challenges faced by entrepreneurs, potential solutions, and the importance of public-private partnerships in addressing these issues.
In his speech, Farid Hidayatzade emphasized the importance of financing ideas that support the green economy and elaborated on future perspectives in this area.
Today, the Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of Kapital Bank, Farid Huseynov, participated as a speaker in the panel titled “Sustainability through Digitalization.” He shared Kapital Bank’s experience and approach to digital transformation with the participants. “When looking at the transition to digital transformation, every company needs a clear strategy and an individual approach. It is essential to ensure that the principle of sustainability not only contributes to business growth but also benefits the environment. Investments and initiatives in this direction should serve both customers and the ecosystem. The key lies in managing this balance effectively,” he remarked.
Another panel under the same topic featured Zakir Khanmammadov, Head of Payment Systems at Kapital Bank, as a speaker. He discussed data analytics, the bank’s digital solutions, and their contributions to the environment during his speech.
