Standard & Poor’s agency has upgraded the rating of Kapital Bank

The agency specialists pointed out the strengthening of Kapital Bank positions in the financial market.

The international rating agency Standard & Poor’s has upgraded Kapital Bank’s rating from “negative” to “stable” and affirmed it at “BB- / B” position. This rating is one of the highest among the banks of the country.

“Specialists of the agency pointed out the strengthening of Kapital Bank’s positions in the financial market. According to the report, Kapital Bank is the most stable bank in the country. Due to structural changes, the bank has strengthened its creditworthiness and competitiveness, which corresponds to a higher rating. It should be noted that the bank’s overdue loans (NPL) have decreased from 14.7% to 7.2%. Against the background of the current situation in the financial sector of the country, the approval of Kapital Bank’s ratings at the same level is of great importance for us”, — Kapital Bank responded.

It should be noted that Kapital Bank in 2017 managed to increase its financial performance and extension of activities, which testifies to the successful outcome of the last year. According to the results of 2017, the bank’s assets amounted to 3.2 billion manats, loans granted to customers increased by 1.8% and reached 1.2 billion manats. The total amount of deposits of the population in Kapital Bank amounted to 836.9 million manats. The bank’s net profit amounted to 94.8 million manats, the authorized capital amounted to 185.9 million manats, while the total capital — to 299.9 million manats.
