Red Hearts Foundation contributes to the education development

The Red Hearts Foundation gives back to society by providing moral and financial assistance to thousands of people in Azerbaijan. In order to contribute to the education sector, the Foundation has held a social campaign for students. As part of the campaign on the eve of February 14 — International Book Giving Day, an event was held at the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ASGU), located in Ganja.

During the event, copies of the world-famous Campbell Biology book were donated to the ASAU’s library. The Campbell Biology book, translated into Azerbaijani within the framework of the Habitat Tərcümə project and published by the Red Hearts Foundation, will be in the public domain for university teachers and students.

Sevda Hagverdieva, President of the Red Hearts Foundation, Rector of the ASAU, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Ibrahim Jafarov, molecular microbiologist, geneticist, co-founder of the Habitat Tərcümə project Araz Zeiniev took part and spoke at the event. During the event, 4 students who scored the highest points in the entrance exams awarded books and gifts from the Foundation.

“The Campbell Biology is widely used in all majors where biology is part of the curriculum. The campaign provides for free distribution of the book among teachers and students of higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of the scientific community of the country. Campbell Biology has been translated into 19 languages, including German, French, Italian, Turkish, and Persian. We are very proud that our young scientists will be able to gain unique knowledge in the field of biology in their native language. I am sure that the book will benefit everyone who is interested in biology,” says Sevda Hagverdieva, President of the Red Hearts Foundation.

Red Hearts was founded in December 2019 at the initiative of Kapital Bank employees. The organization, which currently operates as a foundation, mainly provides assistance to orphanages, shelters and people in need.
