The next “Zero Waste” solidarity marathon was held on the riverside of the Kura River
The Red Hearts Foundation continues its “Zero Waste” marathon started in celebration of Kapital Bank’s 150th anniversary. Aimed at raising awareness about environmental protection and preserving nature, this project was carried out this time on the banks of the Kura River in the village of Varvara, Yevlakh district. More than 50 volunteers from the bank’s branch network, covering the “Central Aran” economic region, participated in the marathon.
During the marathon, the area was cleaned of 753 kg of plastic and harmful waste. Speaking within the marathon's framework, Vice President of the Red Hearts Foundation, Nihad Salmanli, emphasized that these efforts are a valuable contribution to environmental protection and cleanliness. “Protecting nature is one of our main directions as a Foundation. I am grateful to all our volunteers who support us on this path. We are gathered here to leave a healthier world for future generations. For this, it is sufficient for people to be informed, understand their personal responsibilities, and start protecting nature from their surroundings.”
“Red Hearts” was founded in December 2019 at the initiative of Kapital Bank employees. The organization, which operates as a foundation from 2020, mainly contributes to the formation of a culture of philanthropy in our country.
