Kapital Bank’s smart student cards were presented to students of Baku State University. The cards are provided on the initiative of the Ministry of education, the Central Bank and BSU, with the support of Kapital Bank and Mastercard.

Smart cards will allow students to benefit from payment services, as well as receive scholarships and make cashless payments within and beyond the country. Parents living in rural areas will be able to easily send funds to their children with this card.

Students will also use the smart cards to access universities, libraries and reading rooms. Student smart card coverage is planned to be further expanded, to be used in public transport, for dedicated discounts for students and other services. Work is also continuing on the development of special cards for teachers. Their presentation will be held after the restoration of the educational process.

It should be noted that UNEC, Baku Engineering University and other educational institutions have already joined “Smart student card” project. In the future, similar cards will be issued to other universities.
