Kapital Bank being a bank for every customer, it offers both residents and non-residents a full range of settlement and cash services.

  • Opening and maintaining bank accounts in the national and foreign currencies;
  • Transfers in the national and foreign currencies ;
  • Conversion operations;
  • Providing statements of accounts and transactions, as well as copies of payment documents;
  • Encashment of checks issued by foreign banks;
  • Cash deposits and withdrawals;
  • Cash-in-transit and delivery services;
  • Plastic card issue and service;
  • Online banking and transactions in the national currency using the Customer Bank system.

Documents

  • Documents required from state agencies and municipalities for opening a current account:
    • Application;
    • In order to open a bank account, state agencies funded from the state budget and the budget of the Autonomous Nakhchivan Republic need an approval letter from the State Treasury of the Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Finance;
    • State agencies operating in accordance with the Charters (Regulations) approved by an appropriate state agencies’ resolution need to provide a document stating the approval of their Charters (Regulations) by said resolution;
    • Text of the legal document stating the approval of Municipality Charter, as entered in the State Registry of Legal Regulations of the Azerbaijan Republic;
    • For municipalities: a certificate (copy) of a statement from the State Registry certified by a notary public;
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by tax authorities;
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by the SSPF;
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public);
    • Copy of the internal resolution on the appointment of the persons indicated in the specimen sample card to their positions (sealed and with a ‘certified true copy’ note);
    • Identity documents of persons with signing authority (information in the documents is matched against information in the specimen signature card; copies of the documents are stored at the bank, and the original documents are returned);
  • Documents required from legal entities for opening a current account:
    • Application;
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public);
    • Articles of Incorporation certified by a notary public;
    • Copy of the statement from the State Registry certified by a notary public;
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by tax authorities;
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by the SSPF (with the exception of commercial legal entities and individual entrepreneurs);
    • Copy of the internal resolution on the appointment of the persons indicated in the specimen sample card to their positions (sealed and with a ‘certified true copy’ note);
    • Identity documents of the shareholders, founders, executives and persons with signing authority (information in the documents is matched against information in the specimen signature card; copies the documents are stored at the bank, and the original documents are returned);
    • Self-appraisal form meeting the FATCA requirements.
  • Documents required from branches and missions of legal entities for opening a current account:
    • Application;
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public);
    • Copy of the legal entity’s statement from the State Registry, certified by a notary public;
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by tax authorities;
    • Original Charters of the branch or the mission approved by the legal entity, or a copy certified by a notary public (institutions operating in accordance with model regulations shall present a document stating that their regulations are model regulations);
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by the SSPF (for branches and missions of non-commercial legal entities);
    • Copy of the internal resolution on the appointment of the persons indicated in the specimen sample card to their positions (sealed and with a ‘certified true copy’ note);
    • Identity documents of the shareholders, founders, executives and persons with signing authority (information in the documents is matched against information in the specimen signature card; copies the documents are stored at the bank, and the original documents are returned);
    • Self-appraisal form meeting the FATCA requirements.
  • Documents required from home-based agricultural businesses for opening a current account:
    • Application;
    • Copy of the registration document issued by the appropriate municipality, certified by a notary public
    • Identity document of home-based agricultural businesses manager (information in the document is matched against information in the application for opening an account and the specimen signature card; a copy of the document is stored at the bank, and the original document is returned);
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by the SSPF;
    • Specimen signature card (certified by a notary public or the bank itself);
    • Self-appraisal form meeting the FATCA requirements.
  • Documents required from individual entrepreneurs for opening a current account
    • Application;
    • Identity document of the individual entrepreneur (information in the document is matched against information in the application for opening an account and the specimen signature card; a copy of the document is stored at the bank, and the original document is returned)
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by tax authorities;
    • Specimen signature card;
    • Copy of the individual’s entrepreneurship registration certificate;
    • Self-appraisal form meeting the FATCA requirements.
  • Documents required from individuals for opening a current account:
    • Application;
    • Identity document (information in the document is matched against information in specimen signature card; a copy of the document is stored at the bank, and the original document is returned);

  • Documents required from primary trade unions organizations for opening a current account:
    • Application;
    • Resolution or statement from the resolution on the establishment of the primary trade union organization, adopted by the appropriate trade union;
    • Charters of the trade union, certified by a notary public;
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by tax authorities;
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public);
    • Copy of the internal resolution on the appointment of the persons indicated in the specimen sample card to their positions (sealed and with a ‘certified true copy’ note);
    • Identity documents of the founders and persons with signing authority (information in the documents is matched against information in the specimen signature card; copies the documents are stored at the bank, and the original documents are returned);
    • Self-appraisal form meeting the FATCA requirements.
  • Documents required from banks and non-banking credit institutions for opening a current account:
    • Application;
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public);
    • Copy of the Articles of Incorporation, certified by a notary public;
    • Copy of the statement from the State Registry, certified by a notary public;
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by tax authorities;
    • Copy of the license issued by the Central Bank, certified by a notary public;
    • Copy of the internal resolution on the appointment of the persons indicated in the specimen sample card to their positions (sealed and with a ‘certified true copy’ note) ;
    • Copies of the identity documents of the shareholders, founders and persons with signing authority;
    • Non-participating financial institution’s self-appraisal form meeting the FATCA requirements.
  • Documents required for opening a temporary current account:
    • Application (signed by the founder/founders or an authorized person/persons):
    • Authorized person’s power of attorney certified by a notary public, in case the application is submitted by a person acting on behalf of the founder;
    • Identity document of the authorized person (information in the document is matched against information in the application for opening an account and the specimen signature card; a copy of the document is stored at the bank, and the original document is returned);
    • Specimen signature card (certified by a notary public or the bank itself);
    • Self-appraisal form meeting the FATCA requirements.
  • Documents required for opening a current sub-account:
    • Application;
    • Copy of the statement from the State Registry, certified by a notary public;
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by the SSPF (for insurers that are not commercial legal entities);
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by tax authorities (or, if a legal entity is a taxpayer, its own original certificate copy);
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public);
    • Copy of the internal resolution on the appointment of the persons indicated in the specimen sample card to their positions (sealed and with a ‘certified true copy’ note);
    • Identity documents of the primary legal entity’s shareholders, founder and persons with signing authority;

    Documents required for opening special current accounts

    • Application;
    • Copy of the certificate for the provision of notary public services, certified by a notary public;
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public).
  • Documents required for opening a savings bank account
    • Application;
    • Copy of a special notary public registration document, certified by a notary public;
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public).
  • Documents required from state and special notaries public for opening a savings account
    • Application;
    • Letter approving the opening of a savings account at the bank, provided by an appropriate department of the Ministry of Justice of the Azerbaijan Republic supervising notary public services;
    • Copy of a special notary public registration document, certified by a notary public (for special notaries public);
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public).
  • Documents required for opening a deposit account for the benefit of third parties
    • Application;
    • Information allowing identification of the beneficiary (for legal entities – full name and statement from the state registry; for individuals – full name and identity document; copies of the provided documents are stored at the Bank);
    • In case the account is opened by a legal entity – Articles of Incorporation and statement from the state registry, certified by a notary public;
    • In case the account is opened by an individual – identity document (information in the document is matched against information in the specimen signature card; copy the document is stored at the bank, and the original document is returned);
    • In case the beneficiary expresses their wish to use their rights as a depositor, the application shall be supported by documents required from such entities or individuals for opening a deposit account
    • In case the individual or legal entity opening the account uses it in accordance with the Civil Code of the Azerbaijan Republic, the individual shall, in addition, provide documents required for opening a deposit account, while the legal entity shall provide specimen signature and seal card and the original copy of the certificate issued by an appropriate authority;
    • Self-appraisal form meeting the FATCA requirements, completed by the legal entities or individuals opening the account, as well as the beneficiaries.
  • Documents required from non-residents for opening bank accounts in the national and foreign currencies
    • Application
    • Copies of the foreign legal entity branch’s or mission’s statement from the state registry of the Azerbaijan Republic, certified by a notary public (in case the account is opened for branches or missions of a foreign legal entity);
    • Original Articles of Incorporation of the foreign legal entity branch or mission, or a copy thereof, certified by a notary public (in case the account is opened for branches or missions of a foreign legal entity);
    • Identity documents of individuals (information in the document is matched against information in the specimen signature card; a copy of the document is stored at the bank, and the original document is returned);
    • Questionnaire for a foreign political agent, as shown in the Guidelines for Anti/Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Regulations at Kapital Bank;
    • Unless otherwise specified by international agreements that the Azerbaijan Republic is a party to, copies of the Articles of Incorporation and registration documents of the non-resident legal entity, translated into Azerbaijani, recognized in the manner prescribed by law and certified by a notary public (in case the account is opened for a foreign legal entity);
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by the SSPF (for insurers that are not commercial legal entities);
    • Original copy of the certificate issued by tax authorities (for foreign legal entities, their branches or missions, as well as individual entrepreneurs, with the exception of accounts opened for non-commercial purposes);
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public – in case the account is opened for branches or missions of foreign legal entities) / (certified by a notary public or the bank itself – in case the account is opened for individual persons);
    • In cases specified by international agreements that the Azerbaijan Republic is a party to, a copy of the foreign country’s special permit for opening the bank account, translated into Azerbaijani, recognized in the manner prescribed by law and certified by a notary public;
    • Identity documents of the shareholders, founders, executives and persons with signing authority;
    • Documents verifying the authority to open and manage the account on behalf of the non-resident (copy of the Azerbaijani translation recognized in the manner prescribed by law and certified by a notary public);
    • Self-appraisal form meeting the FATCA requirements.
  • Documents required from official missions for opening a bank account:
    • Application
    • A document stating the status of the foreign diplomatic mission or other official missions (translated into Azerbaijani and certified by a notary public);
    • Specimen seal and signature card (certified by a notary public);
    • Copy of the internal resolution on the appointment of the persons indicated in the specimen sample card to their positions (sealed and with a ‘certified true copy’ note);
